The weather in Italy changes a lot depending on the season. Spring (April – June) Best overall time to visit. Warm weather, fewer crowds and cheaper hotels. Summer (July – August) Very busy and expensive. Great for beaches but cities can be extremely hot. Autumn (September – October) Perfect temperatures and beautiful scenery — one of the best months for travel. Winter (November – March) Cheap flights and hotels. Ideal for museums and shopping but cold in the north.
